Archaeologists from Wessex Archaeology have identified a 5,000-year-old site in Bulford featuring two large post pits aligned with the summer and winter solstices. Dating to around 3000BC, the structure predates the major stone phases of Stonehenge and offers new insight into how early Neolithic communities tracked the solar calendar in the Wiltshire landscape.
