Historic yacht Severn returns to the water after a century-long journey
After sinking in the River Mersey just before the First World War, the 1912 yacht Severn has been restored to sailing condition following a four-year, £160,000 project. The vessel, which spent 13 years on the riverbed before being salvaged in 1927, is now back on the water to preserve a piece of Merseyside's maritime history.
