Salford opens the UK’s first authentic Yangzhou Scholar’s Garden at RHS Bridgewater
RHS Bridgewater has unveiled a new £1.8m garden built using traditional materials shipped directly from China, including tiles and brickwork sourced from the same kilns used to restore the Forbidden City. The space recreates a Ming dynasty urban retreat, offering a dedicated area for visitors to experience the traditional scholarly arts of music, calligraphy, painting, and chess.
