HPV jabs cut cervical cancer deaths for young women to near zero, study finds
Girls who received the HPV vaccine in early adolescence now face almost no risk of dying from cervical cancer before 30, according to a study by Queen Mary University of London. The research, published in The Lancet, shows vaccinated women aged 30-34 have a 63% lower risk of death from the disease. Between 2020 and 2024, no women aged 20 to 24 in England died from cervical cancer.
