From April, employees across Great Britain will be entitled to two weeks of unpaid leave following the death of a wider range of family members, including step, half, adoptive, and kinship relatives. The policy also covers pregnancy loss before 24 weeks, ensuring that more workers have legal protection to take time off during a bereavement from their first day in a new job.
