From April, employees across Great Britain will be entitled to two weeks of unpaid leave following the death of a wider range of family members, including step, half, foster, and kinship relatives. This update to the Employment Rights Act also covers pregnancy loss before 24 weeks, ensuring that more workers have the legal security to take time off during a period of bereavement.
