Founded by Professor Anwesha Sarkar at the University of Leeds, MicroLub has secured £7.5m to scale its ingredient technology that reduces fat and calories in food without altering texture. The funding will support a recruitment drive to double the company's headcount and facilitate expansion into US and Asian markets, helping manufacturers meet the growing demand for healthier food options.
