Hundreds of people gathered at stations across the North East to witness the Great Britain XVIII steam locomotive as it journeyed from Scotland down to Newcastle. The spectacular tour, which celebrates the best of British rail heritage, treated passengers and onlookers alike to a nostalgic trip through the UK's most beautiful landscapes.
