Founder Paul Sinton-Hewitt marked the one millionth parkrun at the event's original site in Bushy Park, 22 years after the first gathering of 13 runners. The weekly initiative has grown into a global community that prioritises social connection and physical activity, helping participants of all ages build friendships and improve their mental health.
