Shakespeare's Globe opens London's only public research library for the playwright's works
The Globe has opened a new research centre on its Bankside site, housing over 6,000 books and a collection of rare 16th and 17th-century texts. By making these archives accessible to the public, the theatre aims to support wider engagement with early modern literature and drama at a time when many library services are facing closure.
