Northern Lights captured across Kent as geomagnetic activity reaches the south
Skywatchers across Kent were treated to a rare display of the aurora borealis last night, with sightings reported from Botany Bay to Dover. The phenomenon occurred due to heightened geomagnetic activity, allowing the colourful light show to be visible much further south than its usual Arctic range.
