A 4ft robotic sailing boat designed by Plymouth firm Oshen has crossed the Atlantic Ocean without any human intervention. The vessel completed the 2,926-nautical-mile journey from Gran Canaria to Barbados, becoming the first to finish the long-standing Microtransat Challenge and proving the viability of autonomous maritime technology.
