Newcastle City Council is offering two weeks of paid leave to staff who take on the care of a child through a kinship arrangement. This policy, launched during Kinship Care Week, aims to help families manage the transition of bringing a child into their home and is part of a wider pilot programme to improve support for kinship carers across the city.
