A small research vessel launched from Canada as part of a science project has washed up on a beach in Barra after drifting across the Atlantic for 100 days. Local pupil Calum Iain MacNeil and his father recovered the boat, which is now being repaired by the school so it can be relaunched for the next stage of its journey.
