A 65-hectare site in Oldham that once housed cotton mills and coalmines has been repurposed into Northern Roots, a new eco-park featuring an urban farm, forestry centre, and community spaces. By converting this former industrial land into a public asset, the project aims to improve local health and wellbeing through accessible outdoor activities and food production.
