Stonemasons at Canterbury Cathedral have replaced decayed carvings with four new grotesques depicting a beaver, peregrine falcon, pine marten and chough. These species were chosen to represent animals that have been reintroduced to the county or are the focus of local conservation efforts, serving as a permanent reminder of the importance of protecting Kent's biodiversity.
