Transpennine Express will introduce 29 new Adessia Stream trains by 2034, cutting journey times between major northern cities by up to 14 minutes. These battery-electric models will increase capacity by 30% across the Pennines, providing a zero-emission travel option on non-electrified sections of the rail network.
