Memorial plaque returns to Kent after being washed 150 miles away by a storm
A memorial plaque dedicated to former Sandgate Society chairman Geoffrey Edmunds has been returned to Kent after the bench it was attached to was swept away by Storm Goretti and found in Lincolnshire. While the original bench remains in its new home, the plaque is now fixed to a replacement seat on the Sandgate Esplanade - ensuring the memorial continues to serve its purpose for the local community.
