Aberdeenshire pensioner completes 86ft cross-stitch replica of the Bayeux Tapestry
Ian Williams spent nearly four decades cross-stitching a 26-metre replica of the Bayeux Tapestry, a project he began to pass the time during his daily commute. The work is now on display in Macduff, offering a local perspective on the historic narrative while the original 11th-century embroidery is exhibited at the British Museum.
