Sheffield council pauses plans to fell eight redwoods on Eyre Street
Sheffield City Council has halted plans to remove eight redwood trees after 83 per cent of residents objected to the proposal during a public consultation. The trees, which were slated for removal due to pavement damage, provide essential shade in a city centre area with limited cover. The council will now review the feedback with the Street Tree Partnership to determine a long-term solution.
