Charles Rennie Mackintosh's Hill House stripped of render for the first time in 122 years
Stonemasons have removed the original roughcast from the Hill House in Helensburgh to address long-standing damp issues caused by the building's experimental exterior. This process allows experts to dry out the structure and develop a new, protective finish that preserves the artist's original design while keeping the house watertight for the future.
