Lillie Yale has become the first patient in the UK to be fitted with a dissolvable heart device designed to support her heart as she grows. The implant, known as Memosorb, is engineered to gradually break down once it has served its purpose, potentially sparing young patients from needing further invasive surgeries later in life.
