Construction has started at Swinton station to install lifts, an accessible booking office, and new facilities as part of a £100 million scheme to improve rail access across Greater Manchester. These upgrades will make the station step-free for the first time, supporting the region's goal to integrate all transport into the Bee Network by 2028.
