Staffordshire Wildlife Trust is restoring wetlands at Doxey Marshes and sites in Stoke-on-Trent to better manage water levels during extreme weather. By acting as natural sponges, these restored floodplains can store water during dry spells and slow the flow during heavy rainfall, providing a more resilient landscape for local wildlife.
