The Wildlife Trusts have secured £5.5m in new pledges, bringing them within £4m of the £30m needed to purchase the 3,800-hectare Rothbury Estate. Acquiring the land will allow the organisations to restore bogs and promote nature-friendly farming across the site, securing a significant area for local wildlife.
