The National Wealth Fund is providing £71m to help Tungsten West resume operations at the Hemerdon mine near Plymouth. By securing domestic access to one of the world's largest tungsten deposits, the investment aims to support the UK's aerospace and defence industries while ensuring half of the mine's output remains in Britain.
