The new 4.2km stretch of the A59 has opened to traffic, providing a stable link between Harrogate and Skipton after years of recurring landslips on the previous road. This project replaces a route that suffered 15 closures since 2000, offering a more reliable east-west connection for residents and local businesses across North Yorkshire.
