A Nathusius’ pipistrelle has been identified at a Yorkshire Water reservoir, marking the first confirmed record of the migratory species in South Yorkshire. The bat was discovered using boxes installed just nine months ago as part of a habitat conservation programme, demonstrating how quickly targeted environmental interventions can support local biodiversity.
