The Ministry of Defence has awarded a £20 million contract to Lockheed Martin UK to develop a hypersonic target vehicle, supporting 63 jobs and 15 small businesses in Bedfordshire. This project will provide a realistic test target for air defence systems, helping the UK rebuild a sovereign capability to track and intercept high-speed threats.
