Network Rail has partnered with the Forth Rivers Trust and NatureScot to restore 273 hectares of peatland at Knoxfauld Farm. By blocking drainage channels and reshaping the landscape, the project will store an estimated 40,000 tonnes of carbon over the next century while helping to manage flood risks and support local wildlife.
