Two beaver kits have been born at the Pensthorpe nature reserve near Fakenham, marking the first wild birth of the species in Norfolk since the 16th century. The parents arrived at the reserve unexpectedly last December, and their successful breeding suggests a growing foothold for the animals in the English countryside.
