Broughton Sanctuary near Skipton sees return of all five British owl species
Since 2021, the Broughton Sanctuary estate has planted over 340,000 native trees and restored wetlands to encourage biodiversity across 2,500 acres. This shift from intensive agriculture has brought all five British owl species back to the land for the first time in living memory, alongside a variety of birds of prey and over 1,700 other recorded species.
