Two giant bluefin tuna have been caught off the coast of Whitby, marking the first time the species has been landed in the North Sea in over sixty years. Their return follows decades of international conservation efforts to rebuild stocks that were previously fished to the point of extinction, signalling a broader recovery of marine life in the region.
