Glasgow introduces four firework control zones to reduce disruption
New firework control zones will be implemented in Broomhouse, Pollok, Glasgow Harbour, and the combined area of Govanhill and Pollokshields between 30 October and 9 November. By prohibiting the use of fireworks in these neighbourhoods, the council aims to reduce anti-social behaviour and protect local animal sanctuaries from distress. Residents in these zones will face potential fines or imprisonment if they set off fireworks on private or public property.
