Eighteen-year-old trainee helps land 53-stone bluefin tuna off the Whitby coast
Trainee fisher Ada Peake was part of a crew that caught a 302kg bluefin tuna off the coast of Whitby, marking the first time the species has been landed in the town since 1939. The catch took nearly two hours to reel in and serves as a practical milestone for the 18-year-old, who is currently studying for her Level 2 Diploma in Maritime Studies.
