Pocklington man, 100, plans fishing trips after successful heart procedure
Peter Byers was diagnosed with severe aortic stenosis at 95, a condition that made open heart surgery too risky. After undergoing a minimally invasive valve replacement at Castle Hill Hospital, he has regained his mobility and is now planning his fifth fishing trip of the year - a sign of his recovery and continued active lifestyle.
