Tech company DataVita is investing £300m to expand its Airdrie site, a move that forms part of a wider plan to establish North Lanarkshire as a centre for artificial intelligence. The development is expected to support over 3,400 jobs and provide local training opportunities, while new Scottish government regulations will now ensure closer oversight of large-scale data centre applications.
