Around 200 military personnel from the 10 Queen's Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment are supporting fire crews in south Wales as they manage dozens of simultaneous blazes. By taking over tasks like building fire breaks and distributing water, the soldiers are allowing specialist firefighters to focus their efforts on the most critical areas of the fires.
