More than 80 paintings and sketches by the Booker prize-winning novelist have been found hidden behind a bookcase in her former Oxford home. The collection, which includes her only known self-portrait, offers a new perspective on her early interest in surrealism and provides a rare insight into her life as a student during the Second World War.
