The UK Government is launching a scheme to provide £2,500 in electricity bill discounts to households located within 500 metres of new or upgraded pylon projects. With two-thirds of the initial 43 projects based in Scotland, the initiative aims to ensure communities hosting essential grid infrastructure see a direct financial benefit.
