Conservationists have recently planted native species and cleared invasive plants at the Barmby on the Marsh nature reserve to reverse a decline in local bird numbers. By expanding the site's scrapes and managing water levels, the project aims to restore the habitat for lapwings, snipe, and other wetland birds that rely on this Site of Special Scientific Interest.
