Scottish Hospital at Home service saves over £60m by treating patients in their own homes
A report from Healthcare Improvement Scotland estimates that the Hospital at Home service saved over £60 million by providing care for older people outside of a clinical setting. By avoiding hospital admissions and reducing follow-up treatment needs, the programme has become the largest hospital provider in the country, now expanding to support paediatric and neonatal patients.
