The London Ambulance Service has introduced 37 electric ambulances and 40 fast response cars, creating the largest fully electric ambulance fleet in the UK. These vehicles are cheaper to maintain and more reliable than their diesel counterparts, reducing downtime by 75 per cent and ensuring more ambulances are available to respond to patients.
