The Ministry of Defence is introducing a twelve-month paid placement programme modelled on the Australian military model, allowing young people to gain training and experience in the Armed Forces. Participants can choose to leave after the year or transition into full-time or reserve service, providing a new pathway for school leavers to explore military careers.
