Limiting sugar intake in the first two years of life linked to lower dementia risk
A study of 65,000 people has found that those who experienced sugar rationing during early childhood had a significantly lower risk of developing dementia later in life. By analysing data from the post-war rationing period, researchers suggest that restricted sugar intake during pregnancy and the first two years of life may provide lasting benefits for long-term brain health.
