Three white storks return to Derbyshire wetlands after 600-year absence
Three juvenile white storks have been released at Willington Wetlands, marking the first time the species has been present in the region since the 14th century. Conservationists hope this trio will act as a magnet flock to encourage wild birds to settle in the Trent Valley and eventually establish a sustainable breeding population.
