The Emblehope and Burngrange Estate is being converted into a large-scale nature reserve, with plans to rewet degraded peatland and restore native vegetation across 7,500 acres. By prioritising natural processes over commercial land use, the project aims to boost local biodiversity and improve water retention to help manage flood risks in the region.
