While walking on Lavernock beach, 40-year-old Matthew Myerscough spotted a 201-million-year-old jawbone embedded in limestone. The fossil, identified as a rhomaleosaur, is the first of its kind found in Wales and is currently being studied to provide new insights into early Jurassic marine life.
