Hundreds of species found thriving on former Bedfordshire farmland
After the Wildlife Trust purchased the 377-acre Strawberry Hill site to prevent it from returning to intensive agriculture, surveys have revealed a rich habitat supporting nightingales, bats, and rare mosses. By introducing grazing cattle and new ponds, the trust is now managing the land to ensure these populations continue to flourish.
