A portrait inherited by Mary-Louise Wedderburn two decades ago has been confirmed as the work of Scottish artist Katherine Read. The painting, which was brought to the programme wrapped in a sleeping bag, is now valued at over £100,000 and highlights the significant historical contribution of a female artist who specialised in portraits of women and children.
